Kanaka Thinking: Gratitude to our Kupuna

Without our ancestors, we would not be here.

In our gadabout lives, we often forget the trials and tribulations of our ancestors.  If we think we have a tough life, we should reflect on how life would be without electricity, household appliances, supermarkets, and automobiles!!  Yet, people back in the day survived, had and raised their families, and persevered.  What a bunch of panties we have become!

What will our progeny say about our lives?  Would it be referred to as the "good ole days?"  The best way to create the good ole days is to work hard at creating positive memories for our children and grandchildren, filled with adventure, caring, and time.
